Nike’s Dunk Low “Tennessee State University”

NIKE Inc. is using the next iteration of Tennessee State University's proposal for its Yard Runners Nike Dunk to pay tribute to the long history of the country's historically black colleges and universities.

After applying the FAMU, Clark Atlanta and Carolina A&T colorways to the low-top, the silhouette now centers on a smooth black leather base, while the opposite "royal" and crimson hues jump back and forth on the fender overlays , quarter and heel. White Swooshes, laces, and midsole were chosen for a stark white hue throughout, while final sampling from the tonal spectrum was introduced along the tongue and heel tabs in the few mustard-yellow offerings. From the school's tiger badge and embroidered "1912" heel tag to their students' "Think Work Serve" mantra and "TIGER PRIDE" branded insole with subsequent tiger stripes, the model culminates in a variety of styles related to the University's historic heritage.
